The project will organise two art exhibitions in Yemen and in Sweden showing artworks by the artist Abdulrahman Al-Ghabri and the artists of the Yemeni Identity group. Their archive spans 50 years. Al-Ghabri is a famous photographer who has documented Yemeni life, society and revolution in detail. His artist group includes Oscar-nominated filmmakers like Sara Ishaq. Their work shows the values of democracy, dignity and freedom as part of Yemeni identity. At present the collective is threatened by extremism and this project will ensure the survival of their creative works for future generations before it is lost.
