The goal of this project is to initiate and plan the structure of the larger project Queer voices of Russia
The Queer voices of Russia project will gather stories and testimonies of LGBT individuals around Russia and put together a collaborational performing arts piece. A Swedish playwright works together with a Russian playwright or journalist, creating a docudrama that will be performed in St Petersburg, then around Russia (as well as Sweden). Russian and Swedish media will be involved in as many steps as possible of the project to create visibility.
