PMRHRD: Partnership for more resilient human rights defenders

The aim of the project is to elaborate on how to enhance the resilience of human rights defenders in the Baltic Sea and Eastern Partnership regions.

The identified, joint challenge is that human rights defenders in various ways are under pressure, while at the same time being at risk of becoming more isolated and vulnerable to the effects of adverse national policies and cross-regional pressures. This is a multi-faceted, interlinked and long-term challenge, with potentially severe consequences for human rights defenders’ ability to conduct safe and effective human rights defence.

Since the project aims to enhance the resilience of human rights defenders by assessing needs and possible responses to external pressures, with a focus on accessing and utilizing EU funding, the project is mainly focused on communication among project partners.Â
