The project aims to broaden the knowledge, skills, and awareness of local government officials In Ukraine, to make them more capable in driving European integration efforts forward.
The main challenge that the project intends to address in Ukraine is the need for enhanced capabilities and skills among local government officials. Effective governance at the local level is crucial for driving positive change, ensuring inclusive development, and addressing various socio-economic and environmental challenges faced by communities.
Through the project, a partnership will be established with the City of Stockholm, to take part of the experiences, best practices, and innovative initiatives of local government officials in the field of local governance. Activities include a study visit to Stockholm and to create a platform for local government officials to share experiences, discuss challenges, and jointly design a training programme.
