The aim of the project is to increase the number of journalists at county level who continuously publicize issues affecting gender in Kenya’s marginalised communities in four counties, thereby safeguarding and contributing to the implementation of the gender provisions in the constitution.
Further aims are 1) to support marginalised groups in selected counties to participate more effectively in the democratic process through the use of media and 2) through the production and dissemination of radio programmes at county level to give constituents the opportunity to investigate gender issues among themselves and hold their leaders accountable.
