The project aims to re-skill a first cohort of Ukrainian architects into urban designers, able to support hromadas (local communities) in participatory urban rebuilding, thus accelerating both sustainable development and EU integration.Â
The main challenge is a lack of professionals skilled to work on strategic spatial recovery projects and with the ability to align their work with EU standards. Â
Activities include meetings and seminars with Swedish experts and a field trip for the students to Stockholm to compare Swedish and Ukrainian cities from a sustainable urban planning perspective.  Â
