The aim of the project is to empower the next generation of legal professionals through comprehensive training on sexual violence law and international human rights.
Sexual violence against women is a problem in all the project countries, each presenting unique challenges rooted in socio-cultural and political contexts. There’s a pressing need to address this through a unified, transnational approach, leveraging shared experiences and expertise.
Among the project activities are to write a comprehensive report detailing the needs and gaps in the current legal education system concerning sexual violence law, to finalize a summer school curriculum that reflects both global standards and local needs and the compilation of teaching materials and case studies. By the project’s conclusion, a prepared plan to train a cohort of legal professionals well-versed in addressing sexual violence cases, will be in place.
