The SEEEP project works with the establishment of a model for social entrepreneurship in the Baltic Sea region.
Social enterprises offer great opportunities to deal with social and environmental problems. Many traditional organizations in Europe embrace social enterprises for the social contributions and reinvestments of profits. Yet, in many emerging economies, there is little understanding of social enterprises. The SEEEP project wants to establish a model for the promotion of social entrepreneurship in the Baltic Sea region.
The idea is to contribute to opportunities for knowledge exchange across the borders. The project will arrange a 4-day school on entrepreneurship, with focus on planning, launching and running social enterprises. Also, the project intends to arrange an international conference on entrepreneurship and innovations. Moreover, it will develop online guidelines for beginners and run a promotional campaign in the media to inform the public about the role of social enterprises to tackle social needs and sustainable growth.
