SSSforUkraine: Introducing sustainable sanitation systems in rural Lviv municipality, Ukraine

The aim is of the project is to improve the water quality in the Vistula River Basin and the Baltic Sea, by introducing sustainable sanitation systems, involving environmental, health, technical, economic and socio-cultural aspects.

There is a lack of wastewater management in many parts of Ukraine. This project will work to improve the water quality in the local rivers and the Baltic Sea, by introducing sustainable sanitation systems through the method Open Wastewater Planning.  

The project activities include that project partners will share knowledge with each other on different aspects of sustainability for sanitation systems as well as possible technologies for wastewater treatment. Learnings from the project will be shared at an “Eco forum” event in and educational material for building knowledge from the project learnings will be developed.
