Strengthening civil society’s capacities to forward democracy in Ethiopia

Local governance and decision-making in Ethiopia are non-responsive, non-inclusive and non-representative. This project aims to create better conditions for democratic development and respect for human rights by addressing some of the main challenges connected to this issue. By strengthening the professional capacities of networks of civil society organizations and local government officials, this project will increase the advocacy capacity of local and national CSOs, strengthen collaboration between civil society and government officials, and bridge the gap between citizens and their local governments.
