The overall aim of the project is to improve the rights protection of Ukrainian internally displaced persons and refugees by strengthening the capacities of providers of legal assistance and information in Poland, Sweden, and Ukraine.
The displacement crisis caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine has forced millions of people to leave their homes in search of safety and protection. The needs of the displaced Ukrainian population extend beyond humanitarian aid to encompass legal needs to ensure that their rights are protected.
The project will train 25 participants from Ukraine, Poland, and Sweden on how to give specialised support to persons with complex legal issues. A report will be written with recommendations on how to address the legal needs of Ukrainian internally dispaced persons and refugees. To facilitate the sharing of experiences, information, and best practices, the project will establish two physical and two online spaces. Additionally, a web-based platform will be created to consolidate project results, information, and best practices.
