The project aims to build capacity in sustainable timber architecture and align with European regulations and integration goals.
In Ukraine’s National Recovery Plan, it is stated that the aim is to rebuild better than before, using green technologies, sustainable development and modern solutions contributing to a transformational leap for Ukraine. Sustainable timber architecture presents an opportunity to modernise buildings and living environments in Ukraine with environmentally friendly solutions providing high-performance, energy-efficient buildings that meet modern construction requirements while utilising a renewable resource.
The work will be based on two expert roundtables and several strategic interviews in Ukraine and Sweden/EU to strengthen partnerships for future cooperation. The first roundtable includes a situational analysis – aligning Ukrainian and European regulations. Invited experts represent the sectors of architecture, local authorities, policy makers, timber industry and construction.
