The objective of this project is to acquire understanding and disseminate knowledge regarding the relationship between responsible tax behavior and sustainability in Ukraine and Georgia as they progress toward EU membership.
Rebuilding Ukraine after the devastating war poses immense challenges, and corporate taxation can only bear a small part of the costs. This project aims to contribute by fostering an understanding among key stakeholders about the challenges that future EU membership for Georgia and Ukraine may pose in terms of tax policies and the implementation of sustainable tax systems.
The project will adapt and develop a course on sustainable taxation tailored for Georgia, Sweden, and Ukraine. The aim is to educate the next generation of business managers and policymakers on the implications of corporate taxation for achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals. In doing so, the project will establish cooperation between various stakeholders , including universities, businesses and tax administrations in the three countries, drawing on their shared expertise.
