TTRC is establishing a new network of sustainability-oriented organisations and businesses in the Baltic Sea region. The participants represent small scale rural actors.
Rural societies are struggling to adapt to, and contribute to the global Sustainable Development Goals. The TTRC argues that this process should be driven by local people who are experts in their own territory. However, many small and rural actors in the Baltic Sea region lack guidance and inspiration on sustainability, and TTRC therefore suggests it is important to support them. One particular challenge is that many of them lack networks and international contacts that would allow them to strengthen their businesses and organisations. Moreover, TTRC notes that less and less people are interested in voluntary work. Therefore, it is necessary to develop new ways to attract more people to contribute to their local communities.
The purpose of the TTRC project is to establish a new network of organisations in order to accelerate their work with sustainable development. The partner organisations have a long history of working together. The network will allow them to share knowledge, experience, ideas and information. Also, it will help local actors overcome isolation. rkshops.
