The project will facilitate modern scientific skills development in Ukraine, empowering PhD students and young researchers, engaged in natural science research.
Russia´s full-scale invasion has meant that many multilateral scientific initiatives have ceased. The military conflict also poses challenges to academic cooperation within Ukraine. The academic system of Ukraine is also still dominated by a hierarchical structure and reliance on authority. Furthermore, it is very difficult for Ukrainian researchers, given the current way articles are structured, to pass the peer review process.
The project makes available top-modern lab facilities, it includes researchers with experience of Swedish-Ukrainian cooperation as supervisors, and, in general, through its educational program it introduces the Western research model. The project prioritises the utilisation of sustainable and green technologies, derived from both fundamental and applied research.
