This project concentrates on the need for greater civic activism. Women in northwestern Syria will lead their communities to address urgent rights issues regarding housing. The project focuses on leadership, engagement, activism, and networking. It will empowers women for participatory leadership. 24 women leaders from 7 local communities will be empowered to motivate people to voice demands for rights-based changes. They will also build a network to promote freedom of expression and nonviolent activism of the poor, displaced and marginalized.
