The project will introduce the methods, skills, and experiences developed and implemented by Yalla Trappan to the Baltic States and the Eastern Partnership Region. The project aims to enhance capacity through training and mentorship and the partners will become certified Yalla chapters and spread the method further.
The project targets the individuals who are the furthest away from the labour market – to a large extent migrant women. Through the project, women are prepared for the labour market, starting with the capacities and competence they have, and creating opportunities for them to be involved in starting and running cooperative enterprises.
The project will translate and adapt Yalla Trappan’s mentorship programme. The goal of the capacity building activities is to create and run meeting places and activities, that strengthen people’s opportunities for work and education, their self-esteem, self-confidence, and opportunity for participation in society on a democratic basis and thereby create social benefits.
