School children participate in the 7 Day Challenge during COP25 in Madrid.

During the UN Climate Conference COP25 the Embassy of Sweden in Madrid challenged students and teachers from Skandinaviska Skolan och IES Camilo José Cela to live sustainably during seven days by trying out SI:s concept 7 Day Challenge EAT, MOVE and LIVE.

The school pupils participated in the 7 Day Challenge and posted their daily activties on the Instagram account of the Embassy of Sweden and @swedeninspain with the hashtags #7daychallenge and #SueciaActuando. The aim of the challenge is to inspire high school students and others to increase their climate commitment.

The challenge started with pupils from the Skandinaviska Skolan in Madrid @aescandinavo during December 2-8  and terminated with the high school students of IES Camilo Jose Cela in Madrid, December 9-15. The  IES Camilo Jose Cela School is also collaborating with the Embassy of Sweden and the Raoul Wallenberg Academy during 2019/2020 in SI:s Cube programme.

In conncection with the challenge the students from both schools were invited to a climate debate with the Swedish EU parlamentarians Alice Bah Kuhnke and Pär Holmgren present in Madrid at COP25, and at the Skandinaviska Skolan.
