Ukraine in focus for new call for proposals

Through the SI Baltic Sea Neighbourhood Programme, the Swedish Institute is implementing a special call for project funding in favour of target groups in Ukraine. The call opens in July and offers three focus areas: support for target groups within academia, support for the local public sector, and support for youth and young adults.

Ukraine is the focus of SI:s new call for project funding, where the main benefit of the proposed projects should be directed towards target groups in Ukraine. The SI Baltic Sea Neighbourhood Programme allows applicants from 13 countries, including the EU countries around the Baltic Sea and 5 countries within the EU’s Eastern Partnership, and focuses on creating increased cohesion and synergies among these countries. In this initiative, the primary target group is Ukraine.

– Ukraine needs support, cooperation, contacts, and expertise that can facilitate the country’s reconstruction. There are many networks and cooperations in the Baltic Sea region that, within the framework of this call for proposals, can form partnerships with actors in Ukraine and thereby provide important support.

Projects seeking funding should address one or more concrete and urgent needs faced by target groups in Ukraine. The call opens in July and offers three focus areas: support for target groups within academia, support for the local public sector and support for youth and young adults.

Information about the call:
The main applicant of the projects should be a legal entity based in Sweden. At least one actor based in Ukraine, representing the target group, should be included in the partnership.
