The workshop was supported by the Swedish Institute and the Embassy of Sweden in Kampala, and facilitated by Climate Hub International.

During sessions about Carbon Literacy and Green Technology, the participants explored the sources of carbon emissions and strategies to reduce carbon footprints. They learned about the 3Rs Framework (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and the UN Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. They also engaged in interactive sustainability puzzle games.

The event concluded with the alumni committing to sustainability by signing the ACT NOW Sustainability Board, symbolising their dedication to driving green initiatives in their communities.

The Capacity Boost initiative enables Sweden Alumni to apply for financial support to attend or arrange workshops, trainings, courses seminars or conferences of their choice. The purpose is to strengthen the capacity, knowledge and skill set of Sweden alumni.
