The overall goal with the project is to build capacity and empower Femina Hip and its strategic partners in their work with boys and men in SRHR Gender & CSE. Male involvement is important in promoting better SRHR-services, gender equality & high quality CSE for all.
Gender norms and ideas about masculinity contributes to homo- and transphobia, GBV, HIV-spread and sexual abuse. It also hinders men from seeking SRHR-services, promote gender equality, show other emotions than anger and to be loving partners/fathers. This needs to change by challenging destructive male stereotypes, unequal gender norms and the idea of a âreal manâ in a creative way that also addresses menâs needs to get access to SRHR-services as well as to our full range of emotions as human beings. MI benefits all humans!
