She Entrepreneurs is a leadership programme for highly motivated women entrepreneurs who are building sustainable and scalable businesses that contribute to driving social and/or environmental change in the Middle East, North Africa and Türkiye.
She Entrepreneurs is a practical and hands-on leadership training based on real business experience, collaborative learning and participant-centric design. To help the participants expand their operations, the programme offers regular mentor support and training on topics such as business development, innovation, partnerships, funding, leadership and team development. Since the inception of the programme, the participants have received support that helped them become successful in expanding and increasing their impact in the region.
Many of this year’s participants run their businesses within the environmental sector. One of them is Ghalia Damak from Tunisia who is working to address the environmental and social waste management crisis facing many countries in the Middle East and North Africa. She launched her venture Comporoll with the mission to implement solutions around food waste by providing high quality products and services to manage waste as a resource, while promoting sustainable practices. When asked about her participation in She Entrepreneurs, she said:
“She Entrepreneurs is a fantastic opportunity to connect with like-minded women entrepreneurs who share similar values and are leading impactful businesses. I look forward to the onsite program in Stockholm. To meet fellow participants, mentors, and the program team face-to-face, and to explore new possibilities for collaboration.”
Maria Henoch, Programme Manager for She Entrepreneurs at the Swedish Institute is also looking forward to the onsite programme:
“Despite working under challenging circumstances, these entrepreneurs are determined to scale up their businesses and their contribution to society. It’s been very inspiring to take part of the ambitious growth plans that they have developed as part of the online programme and we are now looking forward to continuing the collaboration here in Stockholm!”
