The first international Tekla workshop was held in Washington on March 8, and was soon followed by Tekla festivals in Brasilia, Mumbai, and New York.
Yesterday 30 young curious Egyptian girls gathered at the Swedish embassy in Cairo to practice their tech skills and learn how to use code. The workshops was facilitated by Beatrice Ionascu from imagiLabs, with a mission to empower and inspire girls to pursue careers in tech, a field that women currently represent only 18% of.
