The application rounds for the four leadership programmes SI Leader Lab, She Entrepreneurs, SI Global Executive Programme and Impact Pioneers’24 have now closed. Combined the Swedish Institute received 4070 applications and have will be selecting over 300 to participate in hybrid leadership programmes with the aim of strengthening leadership skills, providing tools and insights, and facilitating opportunities for networking and collaboration.
New for this year is SI’s leadership programme for business executives – SI Global Executive Programme which aim to engage leaders within medium-to-large size organisations in adopting sustainable solutions to contribute to green transition. 105 participants from Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Latin America has started an 8-month long hybrid programme and will meet in Stockholm for a one-week onsite visit in October.
SI has also launched the 2024 pilot initiative Impact Pioneers’24. The programme is organised by SI in partnership with Team Sweden organisations. Impact Pioneer’s sets out to convene leaders in organisations and networks that promote the nurture and growth of entrepreneurs with small-to-medium size businesses related to green transition. The programme will engage up to 70 participants from Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and Sweden for a 8-week hybrid programme, including a one-week gathering in Stockholm at the end of October with the purpose of making field visits and networking with the Swedish impact entrepreneurship ecosystem.
SI Leader Lab kicked off in April with 108 civil society leaders from the Middle East, North Africa and Eastern Europe. The focus on advocacy for just, peaceful, and inclusive societies continue to interest many and is a central topic within the program. The program provides leaders with innovative tools and new forms for collaboration that aims to strengthen their leadership and advocacy skills.
She Entrepreneurs gathered 32 impact driven female entrepreneurs from the Middle East, North Africa and Türkiye during it’s kick-off in May. Throughout the coming 6 months participants will be provided tangible tools, insights and mentoring on how to grow their businesses and develop as leaders and entrepreneurs.
